The salient characteristic of authoritarian entities is the worship of the monolithic. To achieve it, they enforce homogenization down to the level of the greatest stupidity. The stupid know constant, collectivist certainty and are tireless. They can’t be persuaded. As incorrigible, evangelical idiots, they are highly useful to people with a power agenda. They are the shock troops of homgenization. The only way to put a check on them is to deny them resources, whether that’s your vote, your dollar or your soul. JohnFen wrote of happiness recently. You have a better chance of getting and keeping it when you’re not a participant in organizations dedicated to keeping you managed. A calculated and careful obduracy is your best friend.
