The Nitty-Gritty

Isn't picking on the Bum of the Moment
just a distraction from The Big Picture?

*****

Albert Jay Nock calls this the "first and
greatest lesson in the study of politics" :
You get the same order of criminality from
any State to which you give power to exercise it:
and whatever power [you] give the State to do
things for you carries with it the equivalent
power to do things to you.

...No "democratic" State practice is nothing
more or less than State practice. It does not
differ from Marxist State practice, Fascist State
practice, or any other.

From Nock's "The State of the Union" column in
the March 1939 issue of American Mercury.

Yet so many are living in denial of that,
endlessly attempting to polish this turd.

Aack!

Now I'm off to see "V for Vendetta" again.
