"Sorry" ain't the half of it

Not a sorry site Hedwig says.

I'm gonna differ.

Those are sorry people, sorry to contemplate as
they most likely all support the aggressive state
with their vote, in myriad other ways, and their
lip service to it in some way or another. If they
didn't do these things, they'd have no reason to
apologize. One "I'm sorry" won't even get you a
free beer in most places. The current Glorious
Leader and all future GLs are irrelevant, just in
case you think your particular "Savior" didn't win.

I don't ever say, "I'm sorry" altho I will say
"I fucked up" and do something about it. I did. I
haven't supported the Power Mongers, running
about the planet whacking everyone in line, for
over thirty years and I voted with my feet some
time ago.

My pappy usta say, "If ya want something done
right, do it yourself." I've re-worded that, to
wit, "If ya want something done the way you want
it done, do it yourself." Why lay it off on some
third party/pol you don't even know to do it when
you know that you're not in charge and won't get
what you want?

Blowback

Americans also know, in their guts, that 'the U.S.
government's arrogant interventions in their own
lives is no different. Most have yet to admit it
publicly. When they do, it won't be visible...at
first.

What form will it take?

Why didn't more of us ("us" being those of the
anti-war/anti-state persuasion, whether "left" or
"right") abandon our way of thinking in response
to 9/11? Because 9/11 didn't teach us anything we
didn't already know. We've been saying for
decades that the U.S. government's arrogant
interventions around the world have only been
increasing the risk of blowback, and that the
State, in the event of such blowback, would be as
ineffective at protecting the civilian population
as it is at everything else. The 9/11 attacks
simply corroborated our "pre-9/11 mindset."

All of the essay.

Standing tall.

"Always stand tall in life, for those who crouch
are never remembered." --Thomas Troxler

Is it important to be remembered? Will you care
when you're dust?

On the other hand, I think it's important to leave
something of lasting value behind.

Is that hubris?

Yet another Institutional Cover-up

My, my.

I expect to find a lot more of this...in all
institutions.

Stay tuned.

New and unorthodox ideas have heretofore been
swept under the rug.

It's a different age now.

Ooohaa!

It is the world's most important physics
preprint archive. Formerly a mecca of interesting
new and exciting ideas; a testing ground for new
approaches to unsolved problems. A place where
freedom of thought has fueled the creative juices
of some of the most brilliant minds on the planet.

Now a group of scientists including Nobel
Laureate Brian Josephson intend to expose the
archive as the tool of covert censors, seeking to
oppress anyone writing papers beyond the
mainstream of scientific thought.

All of this story.

Playing the God you can be.

Message from Them?

I've written about some of this before but we're
going to do an experiment later so stick with me.

I think there's a Unified Field Theory here in
the logarithmic spiral. Don't ask me what it is,
but I'm going to attempt to nibble around the
edges of it here. The form is infinite. It has no
beginning and no end. Just like the universe.
(Forget about the Big Bang. I've already posted
the refutation.)

The spiral is probably the most common form on
earth and in the universe. High pressure weather
systems, circling from the center outward, mound
shaped and peaceful, constructive. Low pressure
systems, the worst of which are tornadoes and
hurricanes, violent, destructive, circling from
the outside toward the center, possibly even
disappearing in a mini black hole at their
center. Now look at the two spirals above and
visualize them in three dimensions (and moving)
for future reference, keeping this paragraph in
mind.

Their representations in space are quasars and
black holes, respectively. Growth and destruction.
That's what the universe seems to do. Is there an
invisible connection, a "pipe", from the black hole
to the quasar, from the low pressure system to the
high pressure one?

More than half of all observed galaxies are spiral galaxies.

The numerical representation of the spiral is
found in the Fibonacci number series starting
with 3, 5, 8, 13, 21...compute the next in the
series by adding the previous two etc. The ratio
between each of the numbers is 1.618. The ratio
of the diameter to the radius all thru the spiral
is 1.618, also known as Phi. The ratio of the
radius to the diameter is .618, also known as phi.

The basis of all western music is 3,5,8. It's
harmonious to us. Why?

Price charts in markets are full of these ratios.

Another way of looking at the ratio is 60/40.
It's considered visually attractive. Why?
Discovery Channel did a whole program on human
beauty and overlaid the ratio on the subjects.

The Experiment

Look at the connected spirals above and imagine
yourself sitting in your favorite chair centered
on the connecting path between them, with one
of them on your right and one on the left. It's a
level spot you're on, in your chair, doing a doobie
or having a drink and smoking a pipe...whatever
relaxes you.

Close your eyes and concentrate.

Now think of them in three dimensions and moving.

You are centered at the Zero Point between them,
balanced, One with the universe....

...God.

Hey, I said it was an experiment!

Elena's photos of Chernobyl

I posted Elena's Anglefire site described below in
the links section on my last blogsite. Now I know
what became of the link.

The note below is written by the donor of the new
site which I'll include in the links on the right
panel here.

Server is averaging 12mbps and 4000+ concurrent
users.

July 7, 2004

First let me say that I have nothing to do with
this project other than donating the bandwidth to
allow the world to see it. When I first saw the
site, Angelfire could not handle the amount of
traffic the site was receiveing. I knew my server
could. Then Angelfire began plastering the site
with banner ads shamelessly trying to make money
off the site. This is the point at which Elena
shut the site down, not because she had anything
to hide.

Regardless of what is true, this site has
certainly made people think more about Chernobyl
and this tragic disaster.

However, this story has been there for years and
has been primarily forgotten and neglected.

After "Elena" brought this story to light,
everyone that claims to be an expert has come
forward identifying it as a hoax or a fraud.

How ironic that although they would label her a
hoax and a fraud, she was able to achieve what
they could not even dream of achieving. Bringing
this issue the world wide attention it deserves.

As the only email contact, I have seen each of
the moving emails that were directed to "Elena."
Her words have definitely made the world think
about this piece of forgotten history. I have
seen every request from news agencies from around
the world, each of the big names, begging for
interviews.

"Elena" wanted nothing to do with these
interviews.

I offered to setup a paypal donate account to
create a fund for the project and local charities.

"Elena" Wanted nothing to do with it.

Did she do it for fame or notoriety or even money?

Or did she do it in order to bring attention to
a forgotten region.

What the fuck difference does it make why
she did it? The question makes smoke come outta
my ears.

Last I heard, private insurance companies never
insured nuclear power plants. Why do you suppose
that is? Maybe they don't trust monkeys playing
with nuclear matches.

Another Grand Experiment blown to hell, and all
that brought to you by another bunch of Glorious
Leaders. (Be sure to go to the bottom of the page
and click thru the Chapters.)

Bush Resists Passport Change

We have to keep all our citizens inventoried and
catagorized. [/sarcasm]

I expect Orwell is having fits of laughter in his
grave.

But the change The Shrub resisted is the change
of his change.

The Bush administration opposed security
measures for new microchip-equipped passports
that privacy advocates contended were needed to
prevent identity theft, government snooping or a
terror attack, according to State Department
documents released Friday. The passports,
scheduled to be issued by the end of 2005, could
be read electronically from as far away as 30
feet, according to the American Civil Liberties
Union, which obtained the documents under a
Freedom of Information Act request. The ability
to read remotely, or "skim," personal data raises
the possibility that passport holders would be
vulnerable to identity theft and government
spying, the ACLU said.

That is the entire story.

More real news on the dollar

Massive US dollar sell-off and no bottom in
sight, as anyone that's done any price charting knows.

And Americans are gloriously ignorant about other
currencies, believing the dollar to be the only
currency in the world. What a shock they'll have
the next time they go abroad on holiday.

Transtopia

The other day I found Transtopia. Not bad, not bad
at all. I took their test and here are the results
they spit back at me:

MEMETIC SHOCK LEVEL 04 (0-4): the pinnacle.
Transtopian, or pretty close to it. Progressive
and hardcore with very few taboos. Looks like we
have a WINNER here (either that or a major CHEAT)!

Now I gotta say, I ain't a member of any org (say
"org" a coupla times to yourself. Sounds obscene
to me. And why does it rhyme with Borg?).
Voluntary membership to any org is against
my "religion", what little of it I have so I held
a membership card-burning party years ago. Got
blitzed. It was one of the most significant events
of my life.

The only membership I acknowledge is to the human
race and no cards are required. Much of the time
I'm not very proud of that membership but I really
don't have much to say about it, except to sit at
this keyboard and rant.

Now back to the point of this post.

Take the test found in the link below and post your
results in the comment section at the bottom of this
post.

Whadyasay? Don't just sit there. Do it...or not.

"Getting to know you. Getting to know all about you."
...ala the Julie Andrews chick. Wasn't she the one
that sung that tune?

The test.

Another good ol' boy club in the making.

Am I the only one that sees the ultimate results
of the 'political' economy? Who produces
anything other than potatoes in that kind of
economy? Do 'they' want us all digging potatoes
on our little plots supplying the local
population only? And what happens to the folks
that live where potatoes don't grow? How will
they get 'em?

Enuf about potatoes. What about oil?

Here appears to be the war of the political economy
against the real economy...

"It is our belief that this extraordinary pressure
from the general prosecutor's office has specific
aims: the removal of the management; the derailing
of any settlement process with the Russian authorities
and the total destruction of Yukos," the company said.

Ye ol' fascist good ol' boy club. What the fuck do
they know about getting oil outta the ground?

The full story.

Ok. Enough about the dollar already.

Here's a follow-up to the last post here, very
humorously and informatively written...for those
who don't know how pitiably laughable the hyuman
condition really is. The fellow has a good handle
on the financial events.

A bit long, but it's at least good for a fine guffaw,
watching The Controllers scurrying about out of
control...

Total Fed Credit, which is the fount of from
whence springs all that magical, out-of-thin-air,
fairy-dust money that is the hallmark of the
Greenspan Fed, was up another $3.8 billion in the
last week. The Treasury issued another $3 billion
in actual paper-and-ink cash, which is NOT money
made of fairy dust, but is, instead, money that
is made from actual paper and ink, but which is
just as phony-baloney. All of which is why the G-
20 are all gathering in emergency session to try
and figure out a way to manage this dollar crisis
thing without any of THEIR citizens taking a
whack to the head, and of course we are going to
insist that no AMERICANS will take a whack to the
head, either, meaning that they have to figure
out a way of this mess where nobody has to take a
whack to the head.

The whole rant.

Thanks to L. R. White for this article.

More on the dollar fall

The US currency has slid to a series of record
lows against the euro this week and to multi-year
troughs against a range of other currencies as
investors focused on the big US current account
and budget deficits.

...

The dollar fell to a near five-year nadir
against the yen, which rose to 102.15 to the
dollar, the highest level since January 2000.

The dollar's decline lifted gold prices above
455 dollars an ounce for the first time in 16
years.

The latest blow to the dollar came from a report
in the Shanghai-based China Business News that
China had cut the size of its US Treasury bond
holdings in its foreign exchange reserves.

Although the report was later denied, it fanned
concerns that central banks in Asia, Russia and
the Middle East would continue switching their
foreign currency reserves from dollars into euros.

...

So maybe, just maybe these central banks have not
yet
started to dump $. Don't bank on it. I see
an 80% probability of a free fall coming soon.
Then they will for sure.

But at HypoVereinsbank, chief economist Martin
Huefner said: "There wouldn't be much point at
the moment to buy dollars...The ECB simply
wouldn't have a chance against the strong anti-
dollar sentiment on the market at the moment. If
the ECB were to intervene now, it would require
astronomic sums. A few billion euros would not do
the job."

Herr Huefner knows what he's talking about. I
suspect a few billion wouldn't even make a blip on
the charts and that looks like a good way to loose
their asses.

It's widely believed that 46% of the US debt is
held abroad. As the dollar drops, expect the bonds
to tank as well. I don't doubt that folks are
already dumping this debt and Greenspan will not
be able to raise interest rates fast enough to make
up for the fall of the $ and so enticing the holders
to keep holding.

The Argentine Experience all over again?
(A nice concise report the above is, just covering
the high points.)

Mark Twain was purported to have said, "History
doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes" but most know
sqwat about economic history.

Sooner or later the political economy hits the fan.

You heard it all here, first...as far as I know.

The whole report.

Economic "Armageddon" Predicted

Stephen Roach, the chief economist at investment
banking giant Morgan Stanley, has a public
reputation for being bearish.

But you should hear what he's saying in private.

Roach met select groups of fund managers
downtown last week, including a group at Fidelity.

His prediction: America has no better than a 10
percent chance of avoiding economic "Armageddon."

...

In a nutshell, Roach's argument is that
America's record trade deficit means the dollar
will keep falling. To keep foreigners buying T-
bills and prevent a resulting rise in inflation,
Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan will be
forced to raise interest rates further and faster
than he wants.

Even in this report nothing was said of the
huge, unpayble government debt, laying it off on
all on the "greedy" consumers rather than the pols.

Still playin' the ostrich. Just about everyone.

Shhhh. Don't tell anyone either. Maybe it'll just
disappear.

Bwahahahah.

Feeling dirty.

Why is it that I get the feeling that these
"Excellencies" and "Honorables" and "Major"
nuisances [to say the least] are just
paying lip-service to this 'cause'? Dya
suppose this lip-service has become popular
and perhaps has a 'political' [Aack!] function?

And why is it that I feel that they've soiled
this noble idea as I believe all institutions
do?

This is just a lead-in. Take a look at what Drizzen
says about this.

Buying what?

"All people, however fanatical they may be in
their zeal to disparage and to fight capitalism,
implicitly pay homage to it by passionately
clamoring for the products it turns out."
-- Ludwig von Mises

Strange, very strange.

The new frontiers.

"The new frontiers to be conquered are mainly in
the convolutions of the cortex." -- Arthur Koestler

Isn't that a fact.

Heads up.

Heads up, counterfeiters and others just minding
your own business...
Peter Crean, a senior research fellow at Xerox,
says his company's laser printers, copiers and
multifunction workstations, such as its
WorkCentre Pro series, put the 'serial number of
each machine coded in little yellow dots' in
every printout. The millimeter-sized dots appear
about every inch on a page, nestled within the
printed words and margins.

'It's a trail back to you, like a license
plate,' Crean says.

The whole story.

Just moved in. Still dusting the place off.

Welcome to the new jomama. Update your bookmarks
coz I'm outta tblog.com as there was too much server
downtime.

In case you haven't noticed, the new url here is
http://djomama.blogspot.com

Now on with the game...

The godliness of it all.

"Most folks are on the 'god' track. That is the
hierarchist track that makes them subliminally
believe that 'someone' like a super daddy, etc.
is in control and makes things happen, hopefully
a nice super daddy. For them, as the man said,
'If god didn't exist, man would invent him.'"
--L. R. White

Whether it's the God in Heaven or the God Come
to Earth, he only lives in the mind of the
believer.

So the rest of us have to suffer through this tripe.

But no one's in control and hardly anyone knows it.

Batten down the hatches, boys and girls. Ain't gonna
be a pretty sight...for awhile.
